1956 D Lincoln Cent “BIE” variety

Occasionally Lincoln cent dies acquire a break between the “B” and “E” of LIBERTY rendering the coin to read ‘LIBIERTY” at a glance. Not a rare phenomenon on some dates but rare on others. This is one of only a few we’ve seen on 1956 D Lincolns. This raw example is bright beautiful and flashy red throughout exhibiting an excellent, full strike. MS 65+
